فائو با بهره‌مندی از کمک‌های «برنامه همکاری‌های جنوب-جنوب فائو-چین»، چهارمین محموله از تجهیزات کنترل ملخ صحرایی شامل سمپاش را جهت تقویت ظرفیت ملی ایران برای مقابله با گسترش این آفت مهاجر، در اختیار سازمان حفظ نباتات کشور قرار داد.
به گزارش پایگاه خبری صنعت غذا و کشاورزی، سازمان خواربار و کشاورزی ملل متحد (فائو) در چارچوب اقدامات بین‌منطقه‌ای خود در حمایت از کنترل آفت ملخهای صحرایی در پنج کشور پاکستان، کنیا، اوگاندا، اتیوپی و جمهوری اسلامی ایران، چهارمین محوله از تجهیزات کنترل آفت را تحویل سازمان حفظ نباتات کشور داد.
براساس بیانیه مطبوعاتی دفتر نمایندگی فائو در ایران، این محموله شامل ۲۸ دستگاه سمپاش با کاربرد فرمولاسیون غلظت بسیار کم به ارزش تقریبی ۲ میلیارد و ۲۵۰ میلیون تومان است.
این کمک تجهیزاتی که از سوی دولت جمهوری خلق چین تأمین مالی شده است، بخشی از همکاری گسترده‌تر فائو و چین موسوم به «پروژه برنامه مشترک همکاری‌های جنوب-جنوب فائو-چین برای حمایت از اقدام جهانی فائو در زمینه کنترل ملخهای صحرایی» است. هدف این پروژه مهار گسترش ملخهای صحرایی در کشورهای هدف از طریق به اشتراک گذاشتن فناوری‌های مدرن، تکنیک‌های مؤثر و راه‌حل‌های تأیید‌شده برای کنترل این آفت است.
فائو با احتساب سه محموله پیشین که تحویل دولت ایران داده است، تاکنون در مجموع ۱۱۰ سمپاش با کاربرد فرمولاسیون غلظت بسیار کم و ۱۰.۴ تن سم آفت‌کش دلتامترین با فرمولاسیون غلظت بسیار کم را به ارزش تقریبی ۸.۵ میلیارد تومان و با هدف حمایت از ظرفیت‌های ملی ایران، تحویل سازمان حفظ نباتات کشور داده است. فائو همچنین در حال اجرای یک پروژه برنامه همکاری‌های فنی دیگر در ایران به‌منظور کمک به سازمان حفظ نباتات کشور برای مقابله با این آفت مهاجر است. در چارچوب این پروژه، فائو دانش و مهارت‌های فنی و همچنین تجهیزات لازم را برای تشخیص، رهگیری، پایش، گزارش‌دهی و پاسخ‌دهی سریع به ریزش ملخهای صحرایی در کشور، در اختیار طرف ایرانی قرار می‌دهد.
FAO provides Iran with additional pesticide sprayers, supporting the country in fighting against Desert Locust
Benefitted from the FAO-China South-South Cooperation Programme, FAO hands-over the 4th shipment of Desert Locust equipment including pesticide sprayers to Iran’s Plant Protection Organization to further boost the country’s capacity to curb the spread of this migratory pest.
Tehran – As part of concerted actions coordinated by the Food and Agriculture Organization of the United Nations (FAO) to support the locust control in the five countries of Pakistan, Kenya, Uganda, Ethiopia and the Islamic Republic of Iran, FAO delivers the 4th shipment of pest control equipment to Iran’s Plant Protection Organization.
According to a press release published by the FAO Representation in Iran, this consignment includes 28 units of vehicle-mounted Ultra Low Volume (ULV) sprayers, worth around USD ۸۱,۰۰۰٫
Funded by the Government of the People’s Republic of China, this delivery is part of the FAO-China South-South Cooperation Programme Support to FAO’s Global Action on the Control of the Desert Locust Project, which aims to curb the spread of the desert locust in the focus countries by sharing modern technologies, applying effective techniques and proved solutions to control the locusts.
Together with the previous three shipments, so far FAO has provided 110 ULV sprayers and 10.4 metric tonnes of ULV Deltamethrin pesticides, amount over USD 305,000, to support the national capacity.
FAO, also, is implementing an emergency Technical Cooperation Programme project in the country to assist the Plant Protection Organization to combat this migratory pest by providing requisite technical knowledge and skills and equipment to detect, track, monitor, report on and rapidly respond to the desert locust infestations in the country.
